SBI Ladies Club Lucknow Circle Distributes School Bags and Educational Material to Underprivileged Children

Lucknow, September 21, 2026: As part of its commitment to social service and community welfare, the State Bank of India (SBI) continues to undertake initiatives aimed at supporting underprivileged children. In this series of efforts, the SBI Ladies Club, Lucknow Circle, distributed school bags and educational materials to underprivileged children studying at the Vivekanand Nishulk Shiksha Kendra, Ratan Khand, Lucknow, on September 21, 2026.

The children were provided with school bags, notebooks, pencil boxes and other essential educational materials. The initiative was aimed at extending support to children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and encouraging them to continue their education with greater enthusiasm.

Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Deepa Raj, President, SBI Ladies Club, Lucknow Circle, said that the club has consistently remained committed to serving and empowering underprivileged children by providing them with essential educational resources from time to time.“Education is the most powerful weapon to eradicate poverty. Our aim is to ensure that no child is deprived of education due to lack of resources,” she said.

The programme was attended by Smt. Neetu Kumar, Secretary, SBI Ladies Club, Smt. Sunita Mahe, Joint Secretary, and other members of the Ladies Club. Shri C. B. Tiwari, social worker and founder of Vivekanand Nishulk Shiksha Kendra, along with the teachers and students of the centre, were also present.The initiative received an encouraging response from the children and reflected SBI Ladies Club’s continued efforts towards promoting education and supporting the underprivileged sections of society.
