SKD Academy and SKD International School Celebrate Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s 95th Birth Anniversary Across All Branches
Students pay tribute through speeches, quizzes, creative competitions, and science and robotics exhibitions on World Students’ Day
Lucknow, October 15, 2026: SKD Academy and SKD International School celebrated the 95th birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, fondly known as the “Missile Man of India,” across all their branches. The occasion, also observed as World Students’ Day, honoured his remarkable legacy as a scientist, teacher, and visionary who inspired generations to dream big and contribute to nation-building.
Special assemblies were organised at every branch, where students and teachers paid floral tributes to Dr. Kalam. The celebrations featured speeches highlighting his life and achievements, quizzes based on his autobiography Wings of Fire, poster-making and sketching competitions, and science and robotics exhibitions. These activities encouraged students to explore their creativity, develop scientific curiosity, and learn from Dr. Kalam’s inspiring journey. The celebrations concluded with students pledging to dream big, work hard, and dedicate themselves to serving the nation, reflecting the values that Dr. Kalam championed throughout his life.
