SKD Academy Celebrates the Grand Opening of Annual Fest 2026
Students showcase their talent through vibrant performances of dance, music and drama; Director Manish Singh highlights the importance of creativity and innovation in education
Lucknow, October 30, 2026: SKD Academy marked the grand opening of its Annual Fest 2026 with an exciting series of cultural performances, including dance, music, drama and other creative activities. Students displayed their artistic abilities, confidence and imagination, drawing enthusiastic applause from parents and guests.
The celebrations were graced by Dr. Shweta Srivastava, Secretary, Indian Medical Association, Lucknow, as the chief guest at the Junior High School campus. At the ISC Branch, Rajajipuram, Dr. Preeti Singh, noted educationist, mentor and counsellor from Lucknow, attended as the chief guest. The occasion was also attended by Mr. Manish Singh, Director, SKD Group of Education; Mrs. Nisha Singh, Deputy Director; and Mrs. Kusum Batra, Assistant Director.
Creativity and Innovation at the Heart of Education
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Manish Singh emphasized the importance of encouraging students to participate in performing and visual arts from an early age. He said that artistic activities play a significant role in nurturing creativity, innovative thinking, emotional expression, social bonding and self-confidence among children.
He observed that with artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics increasingly transforming the nature of routine work, the education system must place greater emphasis on creativity, innovation and the ability to develop original ideas. Preparing students to become confident and capable global citizens, he said, should remain a key objective of education.
Mr. Singh further noted that annual celebrations provide students with a valuable platform to express themselves, explore their potential and develop confidence. He also highlighted the importance of collaboration between schools and parents in supporting children's overall growth.
