SKD College of Pharmacy Celebrates World Pharmacists Day with Week-Long Activities
Lucknow, September 25, 2026: SKD College of Pharmacy celebrated World Pharmacists Day with great enthusiasm, marking the culmination of a week-long series of academic, creative and community-focused activities organised under the theme “Pharmacy Today • A Healthier Tomorrow.”
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr. Ashish Singh, Clinical Director, SKD Group.
The Pharmacist Week Celebration, held from September 21 to 25, featured a diverse range of activities aimed at promoting awareness about pharmacy and public health. These included a Community Outreach Programme, Poster Making Competition, Quiz Competition, Reel Making Competition, Awareness Rally, Nukkad Natak, Model Competition and Rangoli Making Competition. The week-long celebrations culminated in the World Pharmacists Day programme on September 25.
The celebrations highlighted the vital role pharmacists play in safeguarding public health and strengthening healthcare systems. Students were encouraged to develop and uphold high standards of professional knowledge, ethics, responsibility and compassion as future healthcare professionals.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Manish Singh, Director, SKD Group of Education; Dr. Ashish Singh, Clinical Director, SKD Group; and Mrs. Kusum Batra, Assistant Director – Academics.
Their guidance and words of encouragement motivated the students to understand the evolving responsibilities and growing opportunities within the pharmacy profession. The programme also provided students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity, knowledge and commitment to public health through various academic and community-oriented activities.
The week-long celebration concluded with the World Pharmacists Day programme, reinforcing the message that pharmacists are an important part of the healthcare ecosystem and have a significant role in contributing to a healthier future.
