State-Level Science Model Competition
Lucknow desk (R L Pandey).The Council of Science and Technology, under the aegis of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Uttar Pradesh, successfully organized a State-Level Science Model Competition on 27th November 2024 at the esteemed Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Scientific Convention Centre, Lucknow. This landmark event was aimed at fostering innovation, advancing the achievements of Science & Technology, and instilling a scientific temper among students by encouraging them to explore and understand the principles of science through practical application and hands-on experimentation.
The competition was conducted in three comprehensive phases: District, Division, and State levels, ensuring maximum participation and engagement from students across the state. 

The State-Level competition featured a grand exhibition of approximately 90 exceptional models, designed and developed by talented students who had earned top honors—1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes—as well as two Consolation Prizes from each division. These innovative models showcased the creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities of the young participants.

The event not only provided a platform to recognize and reward the efforts of budding scientists but also inspired them to pursue their passion for science and technology. It served as a vibrant hub for the exchange of ideas, fostering a spirit of inquiry and innovation. The competition highlighted the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application, paving the way for a new generation of thinkers and innovators committed to addressing real-world challenges through science.These models were evaluated by Scientific Experts. 
In the occasion Shri Anil Kumar, Hon’ble Minister, Science & Technology, U.P. was a Chief Guest and Shri Ajit Singh Pal, Hon’ble Minister of State, Science & Technology , U.P. was as Guest of Honor. Speaking of the occasion, Shri Anil Kumar, the Hon’ble Minister, Science & Technology, U.P. motivated the students and praised the models displayed by them. He also instructed to the CSTUP officials to have more programme of this type and they should be organized on a large scale, so that many students could participate.
Speaking on the occasion he also said that a Science & Technology University will be established in U.P. soon, which will be benefitting the students in long way. CSTUP will be the part of it. Hon’ble Minister of State also congratulated the students and praised their efforts and innovation ideas. 
Shri Pandhari Yadav, Principal Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, UP & Director General, Council of Science & Technology, UP applauded the students for their outstanding performance and commended their dedication and innovation. He expressed his confidence in their potential to make significant contributions to society and wished them great success in their future endeavours.
During the program, Shri Shildhar Singh Yadav, Special Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, UP & Secretary & Director, Council of Science & Technology, UP, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests and emphasized the importance of nurturing young minds to drive progress in science and technology. He also highlighted the council's ongoing commitment to fostering an environment that encourages research, innovation, and academic excellence.
The event was a remarkable platform for celebrating the talent and achievements of the students while inspiring them to reach greater heights. 
Dr. Huma Mustafa, Joint Director, CSTUP, skillfully conducted the program with remarkable poise and professionalism, ensuring its smooth execution. Her engaging demeanour and meticulous attention to detail added to the program's overall success.
Dr. Rajesh Kumar Gangwar, Joint Director, CSTUP , Dr. D.K. Srivastava, Joint Director, CSTUP, Shri Radhey Lal, Joint Director, CSTUP , Dr. Puja Yadav, Joint Director, CSTUP , Dr. S. Rahman, Scientific Officer, CSTUP also took the opportunity to highlight the critical role of such events in shaping young minds, encouraging participants to embrace the transformative power of science and innovation.
These Scientific professional's words of encouragement and insightful reflections left a lasting impression on the audience, further inspiring the students to excel in their scientific pursuits.
Sumit Kumar Srivastava, Media In-charge & Scientific Officer told that Through the efforts of Director's team CSTUP, the event maintained a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere, fostering an environment of learning, creativity, and collaboration.
Every person shows the full dedication to promoting scientific excellence was evident, making their contribution invaluable to the success of the program. 
According to him, the First prize constituting of Rs.50,000/- cash prize was awarded to Shri Sumit Bhatt from Basti Division for his project on Smart Bike, whereas the second and the third prize constituting of Rs,40,000/- and 30,000/- respectively was awarded to Shri Rudra Pratap Singh from Kanpur Division for Drone Technology and Shri Kuldeep from Banda division for Waste to Plant. Apart from this 05 students were awarded a cash prize of Rs.5,000/- each in the form of consolation prize.
