Stepping into the Spotlight: Investiture Ceremony Celebrates Young Visionaries
The ceremony began with a ceremonial reception as the School Band escorted the dignitaries, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp and a soulful rendition of Saraswati Vandana.
Mr. Mahesh Agarwal, Chairman, Goel Group of Institutions, warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr. Shishir K. Srivastava, an internationally respected education leader, Global Citizenship Education advocate, author, and Founder & Global CEO of Unifusion Consultants and Shishir Leadership Academy. In his welcome address, Mr. Agarwal congratulated the newly elected council members and encouraged them to discharge their responsibilities with enthusiasm, integrity and perseverance.
During the investiture ceremony, the newly appointed student leaders proudly stepped forward to receive their sashes and badges. In the Senior Wing, Yasharth Singh was appointed Head Boy, Janvi Maurya as Head Girl, Bhumika as School Prefect (Girl), and Shikar as School Prefect (Boy).
In the Junior Wing, Arnav Singh took charge as Head Boy, Ayana Fatima as Head Girl, Advika as School Prefect, and Shivansh Tiwari as School Prefect. Sports leadership was entrusted to Shaurya as Senior Boys Sports Captain, Saumya Singh as Senior Girls Sports Captain, and Ananya Tripathi as Junior Wing Sports Captain. Rithwik and Adya were appointed Cultural Secretaries.
The school also appointed Harshi Saxena as Peer Educator, Anaya Tajdar as Sustainable Ambassador, and Medhansh Srivastava as Chief Editor to lead the Editorial Board. The Captains and Vice-Captains of all four houses—Go Getters, Wave Riders, Game Changers and Trail Blazers—were also formally announced.
The newly appointed portfolio holders then presented a disciplined marching display, reflecting their confidence and commitment to their new responsibilities.
Addressing the student leaders, Dr. Shishir K. Srivastava delivered an inspiring message on leadership and responsibility. He reminded them, “Leadership is not about a title or a designation, it is about impact, influence, and inspiration.” He urged the young leaders to lead by example, uphold the values of the institution and make a meaningful difference in the school community.
The ceremony concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Principal Dr. Rina Pathak. Motivating the students, she said, “Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself; when you become a leader, success is all about growing others.”
The memorable event concluded on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, leaving the newly inducted student leaders inspired to take on their responsibilities with confidence, integrity and dedication.
