Study Hall concludes third Democratic Citizenship Festival with creativity, dialogue, and civic action

Participating city schools included MR Jaipuria, AR Jaipuria, Arvind Academy, GD Goenka, Maharaja Agrasen School, Scholars’ Home, Modern Academy, Prerna Boys, Prerna Girls, and Vidyasthali. Outstation participation came from Sunbeam Varuna and Sunbeam Lahartara (Varanasi), Chickar International School (Bareilly), and Vidya School (Gurgaon), adding a rich diversity of perspectives to the festival. Anchored in the values of the National Education Policy (NEP), the festival integrates academic subjects with the spirit of democracy through innovative competitions designed to inspire dialogue, creativity, and critical thinking.

The final day featured highlights like the “Dance of Democracy”, a creative showcase blending movement with democratic themes, “Civitas: We the People”, a dynamic social science event encouraging debate, collaboration, and problem-solving, and “Chain Reaction 2.0”, an event that explored the connection of scientific ideas to real-world socio-economic challenges.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Principal Meenakshi Bahadur said, “In these two days, students didn’t just learn about rights and duties, they practiced them, performed them, and lived them.”The program concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the winners of various competitions and recognizing the creativity, insight, and enthusiasm of all participating students.

Conceptualized and hosted exclusively by Study Hall School, the Democratic Citizenship Festival reinforced the importance of experiential learning and civic engagement, preparing students to become thoughtful, active citizens committed to building a just and compassionate society.
