University of Lucknow officially inaugurated the Model United Nations Club (UOL - MUN) under Sanskritiki on 3rd April, 2025 in the A.P. Sen Hall

The Inaugural took place under the guardianship of Professor Anchal Srivastava, the Director of Sanskritiki.  The Inaugural was followed by an Intra- MUN Conference with the functioning of three Committees namely the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the Lok Sabha and the International Press (IP).

Students in UNGA deliberated upon  Human Rights Violation in States due to financial and non- financial sanctions while the Lok Sabha deliberated upon the Broadcasting Bill. The participants of International Press Committee covered the other two Committees and presented a report. The participants were throughout guided and Committees presided over by seasoned public speakers and MUNers. 

The Conference was concluded by a Valedictory Cermony on 4th April, 2025 in the A.P. Sen Hall at 4 p.m. wherein the winners in each Committee was awarded by Professor Sangeeta Sahu, Director IQAC, University of Lucknow 

India in UNGA won the Best Delegate while the Delegate representing Mukesh Kumar won the same in Lok Sabha. The Hindu in International Press was awarded for news coverage. The MUN Club under Sankritiki is an initiative towards developing public Speaking skills among students and also enhancing their critical thinking in this dynamic world. It will serve as a platform for deliberation and dialogue delivery.
