Lucknow desk (R L Pandey).Counselling and Guidance Cell in collaboration with Happy Thinking Laboratory, University of Lucknow, organised a Speech competition on ““Vivekananda Chicago Speech” centered on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The event aimed to celebrate the visionary leader's contributions to spirituality and education, while inspiring students to embody his principles in their daily lives on 11th September, 2024 in Happy Thinking Laboratory, University of Lucknow.
 

 

 This program was coordinated by Dr. Shradha Chandra, Department of Public Administration, University of Lucknow and Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Lucknow Branch.  Mr. Deep Narayan Pandey, Nagar Pramukh of Vivekanand kendra and Dr. Manoj Agarwal from Department of Economics, University of Lucknow, Dr. Archana Tiwari from Department of Western History, University of Lucknow and Dr. Anshu Kedia, Principal of Khun khun ji Girls 

P.G. College were the Judges of the program. The program was hosted by Mr. Amit Kumar, Doctoral Research scholar of Department of Public Administration, University of Lucknow.The event commenced at 1:30 p.m. and drew participation from enthusiastic students showcasing their eloquence and analytical prowess. Dr. Vaishali Saxena, the Director of Counselling and Guidance Cell and Prof. M. Priyadarshini, the Director of Happy Thinking Laboratory graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

Her insightful perspectives added value to the debate competition, encouraging students to reflect on the theme in the context of personal growth and societal development. Judges were impressed by the depth of analysis and the passionate delivery of speeches. Here is some glimpse of the competition.The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Vaishali Saxena emphasizing the importance of integrating Vivekananda’s teachings into modern educational practices. Overall, the competition successfully honoured Swami Vivekananda’s legacy, fostering a greater appreciation for his profound wisdom among the students.
