World glaucoma week was celebrated in Dr.Ram Manohar Lohia Institute Of Medical Sciences

Lucknow desk (R L Pandey).World glaucoma week was celebrated in Dr.Ram Manohar Lohia Institute Of Medical Sciences, Lucknow from 9th to 16th March, 2025. Dr. Shikha Agarwal and Dr. Preeti Gupta explained the patients and relatives about glaucoma, need for regular glaucoma screening, and importance of its early diagnosis.
Glaucoma awareness pamplets were distributed to the patients coming to the hospital. A talk was delivered by Dr. Rajat Mohan Srivastava, Additional Professor, KGMU on 11th March discussing the role of smart phone devices in glaucoma. Dr. Prolima Thacker, Dr. Sabari Pal and Dr. Indu Ahmad discussed with optometrists and para medical staff the details of glaucoma including its diagnosis and treatment. A camp was also conducted where along with other instruments non mydriatic camera was used to screen patients with glaucoma.
