World Pharmacists Day Celebrated at Integral University
Lucknow, Sept 25: The Faculty of Pharmacy, Integral University, in association with the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, observed World Pharmacists Day 2025 on September 25 with great enthusiasm. The theme of this year’s event was “Think Health, Think Pharmacist.”
The program opened with a welcome address by Prof. Syed Misbahul Hasan, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy. He underlined the crucial role pharmacists play in the healthcare system and proudly shared that the department has consistently secured a position among the top 50 institutions in the NIRF Rankings for Pharmacy.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Sandeep Bandola, Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh State Pharmacy Council, spoke about the relevance of the Pharmacy Act 1948 and motivated budding pharmacists to take pride in their profession. He also called for greater awareness regarding drug safety, side effects, and the rational use of medicines.
The celebration was graced by several dignitaries, including Mr. Pramod Kumar Tripathi (Registrar, UP State Pharmacy Council), Mr. Ramesh Chander Srivastava (State Nominee, Pharmacy Council), Mr. Akhil Singh (Vice Chairman, UP State Pharmacy Council), Dr. Shilpi Tripathi (Senior Dietician, SGPGI Lucknow), and Mr. Khan Ahmad Bazargan (Deputy Manager, Wipro). Speakers addressed key topics such as the need for quality education in pharmacy institutions, ethical professional practices, the importance of balanced nutrition, and the emerging contribution of Artificial Intelligence in pharmacovigilance and patient safety.

As part of the celebrations, a series of activities were conducted, including Pharma Quest, Anato Pharma Spotting, Rangoli Competition, Pharma Nutrition – Fireless Delight, Blood Donation Camp, and a Plantation Drive. These events encouraged scientific learning, creativity, social service, and environmental awareness among students.
Winners and participants were honored with medals and certificates. The program concluded with the Pharmacist’s Oath and the National Anthem. In his vote of thanks, Prof. Juber Akhtar, Head of Department, expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, event judges, organizing committee members, and students for making the celebration a success.
The event not only highlighted the importance of the pharmacy profession but also inspired students to contribute wholeheartedly to healthcare and community service.
