Yogi Adityanath Chief Minister addressed the students on the occasion of 'University Foundation Day' and 'Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti' at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University

While addressing the students, Yogi Adityanath Ji, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said that to know the personality of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, his sentence is enough that "I am Indian, firstly and lastly". Surprisingly, those who suffered deprivation and social discrimination in childhood, who were forced to live within social limitations and chains, yet became people receiving the highest degrees in the country and abroad on the basis of their education, talent and intelligence.After getting education, Dr. Ambedkar went to join the freedom movement and set out to make India free from the fetters of subjugation and slavery.
The Honorable Chief Minister, stating the specialty of the Indian Constitution, said that the Indian Constitution gave the voting rights to women and the underprivileged earlier compared to other nations. In any democratic country, the Constitution is like a power, hence the importance of the Constitution should be reached to the general public. Apart from this, Yogi Adityanath ji said that education is the first foundation of all -round development, that is why we should leave the brain doors open by establishing coordination in intelligence and discretion to receive new ideas through education. Through education, your culture, heritage, Indian knowledge tradition, ideology of Babasaheb, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitri Bai Phule will have to be cherished. Apart from this, Hon'ble Chief Minister discussed the successful organization of Mahakumbh in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh in 2025, bringing the death rate from encephalitis disease to zero percent,
schemes run in various levels and fields like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojna, Shochaly Sahayta Yojna, Ayushman Card Yojna. He also discussed the one District - One Product, CM Yuva Yojana in the field of entrepreneurship, referring to better products of various districts and many unique start ups, the Hon'ble Chief Minister said that there is a creation of employment at the local level, working on this ideology, 77 products of Uttar Pradesh has received GI tag. He motivated the youth to do startup and said that the country's youth can be connected to the heritage and development by connecting business in a traditional way through startups. While praising the university's NAAC and NIRF rankings and other achievements, Hon'ble Chief Minister said that the Uttar Pradesh government will give fully support in setting up MSME unit of the government in BBAU. He also wished the university to include one of the best ten universities in the country in future.
Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal called the Honorable Chief Minister as a 'saint soldier' and thanked him for awakening the excellent works done by him in the state and the newness among the youth. Prof. Mittal gave information about the development works of the BBAU and said that the work is being done to bring back the backward classes in the university. Also, 5 villages have been adopted by the university where socio -economic development work is being done. Apart from this, barren land of 3 villages in Kanpur has been converted into fertile land. Also, the university has achieved 33rd position in NIRF rankings, NAAC A ++ Grade, University Institution Innovation Council's 3.5 star ratings and other important achievements. Prof. Mittal informed that in future the university will start a better incubation center, psychology, geography, artificial intelligence, virtual reality courses and skill center will be set up for general public in University.
The Chief Minister honored the alumni and successful entrepreneurs of the university for their outstanding achievements. Also Chief Minister inaugurated the photo gallery and book exhibition organized by Gautam Buddha Central Library and also took information about the development journey of the University.
On the occasion of 'University Foundation Day' and 'Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti', the valedictory session of the two-day seminar on the topic 'Babasaheb's Concepts of Nation Building and Constitutional Commitments' was organized by the University. Shri Lal Singh Arya, Famous Social Activist was present as the chief guest. Apart from this, Prof. Narendra Jadhav, eminent economist, former Rajyasabha Sadasya and Key Note Speaker, Shri Mithlesh Kumar, Rajyasabha Sadasya, Dr. Bhola Singh, Loksabha Sadasya, Asim Arun, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Department of Social Walfare, U.P. Government, Shri Satish Kumar, Social Worker, Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, Vice Chancellor of BBAU, Prof. K.L. Mahawar, Chairperson of the Standing Organizing Comittee and Dr. Ajay Singh Kushwaha, Seminar convenor were present on the dais. The program started with lightning of the lamp and offering floral tribute to the statue of Babasaheb. After this the organizing committee expressed its gratitude to the guests by presenting them a sapling, shawl and momentos. At the beginning Dr. Ajay Singh Kushwaha gave information about the theme , objectives and outline of the seminar. After this , Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, Vice Chancellor welcomed everyone present in the program. The anchoring was done by Dr. Subhash Mishra.
While giving his views, Lal Singh Arya, Famous Social Worker said that Babasaheb, who has voiced for women and Dalits, is similar to a book. This great man proved himself on the basis of education and not only worked for the unity, intuition and integrity of India but also worked to include the person standing at the end of the society in the mainstream of society. Babasaheb believed that we are Indian firstly and lastly Indian and the creation of this India contains the sacrifice of many great men. Apart from this, Lal Singh Arya said that we have to build a society dedicated to the country service, where not only one but thousand Ambedkar will born.
Prof. Narendra Jadhav, Keynote speaker and famous economist discussed the topic of contribution of Babasaheb's in Constitution making process. He said that the Constitution is a superpower to bind the life, self -esteem of the country and 144 crore Indians and the age of the Constitution of any country is 17 years, but our Indian Constitution stands unbroken even after completing 75 years of journey. Prof. Jadhav also discussed the franchise of backward classes, the demand of the United States of India, Pune Agreement and Simon Commission during the process of constitution. Also, by 1895- 1946, the twelve efforts of constitution and the final constitution with golden future was also discussed by him.
Mithlesh Kumar, Rajya Sabha Sadasya said that the main objective of this type of program is to give information about the contribution and life struggle of Babasaheb, the creator of the Constitution and our history. Apart from this, he gave detailed information about various aspects related to Babasaheb's life such as education, raising voice against untouchability and discrimination and the ideology of the Reserve Bank of India. While praising the government policies, Mr. Mithlesh Kumar said that the government has schemes like Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Stand Up India Scheme, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Incubation Center, Pradhan Mantri Scheduled Caste Abhyudaya Yojana and National SC -ST Hub to include backward classes in the mainstream. The main objective is to make the socio -economic empowerment of the marginalized communities.
While Speaking the importance of education, Dr. Bhola Singh, Loksabha Sadasya said that Education is the milk of a lioness, whoever drinks it will roar. That is why our main objective should be to remove ignorance, superstition, social evils and practices, considering education as well. Apart from this, While discussing the importance of the constitution, He said that through the Constitution, women, poor and Dalits have got economic and political protection, right to education, right to get their voice and the right to choose the government. Also, he gave information about the important Panch Tirtha, Ambedkar International Center and Bhim App.
While motivating everyone to donate time in the field of social welfare, Shri Asim Arun, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh Shri Aseem Arun said that we need to work on the ideology of consolidation and co-existence. So that everyone should do such a work individually and collectively according to their abilities, which will help the self -weakened people present at every level in the society. Apart from this, he explained about zero poverty scheme under which every village has been given attention to housing, Ayushman card, ration card, system of education and regular means of income for 15-25 families below poverty line.
Satish Kumar , Social Worker described poverty as India's biggest challenge. He said that removing unemployment is the biggest priority in India and entrepreneurship is the only panacea in this situation. He gave a message to the youth that we have to encourage entrepreneurship keeping in mind indigenous, which will increase employment opportunities in India and strengthen Indian economy. Apart from this, Mr. Satish Kumar gave detailed information about the struggles and successes of various women leading in the field of entrepreneurship.
Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, Vice Chancellor of BBAU said that there is talk of equality, freedom and fraternity in the preamble of the Constitution which teaches us to build a society based on harmony, fraternity, values and brotherhood. Prof. Mittal said that change is possible through education because the purpose of education is also to improve the talent of students as well as to develop character, mental, spiritual and all round. We have to enhance their education, research, innovation and other talents through various forums in the youth and develop the tendency to provide employment instead of getting employment in them. Apart from this, every person has their own identity and self -esteem, hence keeping in mind the constitutional morality and dedication, one has to build an inclusive society, where development should be given priority, empowerment of women and youth should be seen. Prof. Mittal gave a message to the youth, giving attention to the powers of Article 32 and other fundamental rights and duties to bring Babasaheb's principles to the right ground, so that the dreams of India and Babasaheb's dreams can be realized.
Apart from this, 'Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Vishwavidyalaya Lucknow Ki Vikas Gatha' was released by the guests during the seminar. Apart from this, The book written on the subject of 'Microbial Biotechnology and Sustainable Development' was also released by the guests which is Written by Prof. Ram Chandra, Anjali Chaudhary and Sana Bano. In the end, Prof. K.L. Mahawar proposed a vote of thanks.
Mr. Kamlesh Kumar, Mr. Anil Kumar Anand, Mr. Arvind Kumar, Mr. Navneet Gupta, Mr. Tarun Chaturvedi, Shikha Kumari, Ankita Miri, Sujal Sahai and Shivansh Kumar Dwivedi were honored by the Honorable Chief Minister for his outstanding achievements. On this occasion, Bhima Walk was organized in the university campus. Also, a cultural evening was organized under the joint aegis of BBAU and the Department of Culture, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Dean of various faculties, heads of departments, teachers, non-teaching officers and employees, research scholars and students were present during the entire program.
