Yogi Government Gives Final Touches to Preparations for UP International Trade Show 2026
Extensive arrangements underway for security, traffic management, transportation and connectivity; 530 buses to facilitate visitors
Lucknow, September 23, 2026: The Uttar Pradesh government is giving final touches to preparations for the UP International Trade Show (UPITS)-2026, scheduled to be held from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida. The state government is focusing on ensuring that the fourth edition of the event is grand, well-organised and capable of showcasing Uttar Pradesh as a major global destination for trade, investment and business.
Departments concerned and the local administration have been assigned responsibilities covering publicity, venue management, security, traffic regulation, transportation, electricity, sanitation, mobile connectivity and arrangements for foreign delegations.
Focus on Delhi-NCR outreach and wider participation
Special emphasis is being placed on publicity and branding across Delhi-NCR to expand the reach of UPITS among both the business community and the general public. The administration is also working to increase participation from the Saharanpur, Meerut, Aligarh, Agra and Moradabad divisions.
Industry associations from these divisions are being connected with knowledge sessions to make the discussions more interactive and relevant for participating businesses. Through the local administration, schools, colleges and corporate institutions in the region will also be encouraged to visit and participate in the Trade Show.
530 buses to strengthen visitor transportation
To facilitate the movement of visitors, arrangements have been made for 530 buses. These buses will be integrated with the transportation network connected to the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority and Metro services.
Alongside public transport, adequate parking facilities, road signage, lighting, electricity supply, CCTV surveillance and public-address systems are being put in place. Considering the expected footfall, special attention is also being given to traffic management, with diversion plans to be implemented wherever required.
Security and public facilities receive priority
Security arrangements are being strengthened at the venue, with the Police Commissionerate, district administration and other concerned departments coordinating the necessary measures.
Preparations are also being made for fire safety, medical assistance, sanitation, cleanliness, accessibility and uninterrupted power supply to ensure a comfortable environment for exhibitors and visitors.
Special arrangements for foreign delegations and diplomats
The state government is also making dedicated arrangements for foreign delegations, diplomats and other distinguished guests. The MSME Department will deploy an adequate number of liaison officers to facilitate coordination and provide necessary assistance to international visitors.
CM Fellows will also be assigned responsibilities to support coordination and ensure that foreign guests receive assistance throughout the event.
Food counters, including ODOP offerings
A sufficient number of food counters will be available for visitors at the Trade Show. These will include One District One Product (ODOP) food counters, along with additional affordable food options to cater to the expected number of visitors.
Mobile connectivity being strengthened
With a large number of visitors expected to gather at the venue, mobile network congestion has also been identified as an important area of preparation. Efforts are being made to ensure stable and uninterrupted mobile connectivity, particularly during peak hours.
Platform for global business and market expansion
The fourth edition of UPITS is being positioned as a platform to strengthen Uttar Pradesh's role as a global sourcing hub and bring international and domestic businesses together.
The Trade Show aims to connect manufacturers, exporters, investors and MSMEs with new markets, buyers and potential business partners. The event is being designed not merely as an exhibition of products but as a platform for business dialogue, market expansion, investment opportunities and global commercial engagement.
