Lucknow/Noida, December 26.  Under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is rapidly developing the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region into one of India’s most ambitious multi-modal transport, logistics and industrial hubs. This integrated development model aims to position Uttar Pradesh as a globally competitive destination for investment, manufacturing, exports and large-scale employment. At the heart of this transformative vision lies the Noida International Airport at Jewar, which is poised to become North India’s largest aviation and logistics gateway upon completion.

Five-Mode Seamless Connectivity

YEIDA CEO Shailendra Kumar Bhatia stated that the Yogi government’s top priority is to ensure seamless five-mode connectivity, integrating air, road, rail, RRTS and expressways. The eight-lane, access-controlled Yamuna Expressway has been directly linked to the Noida International Airport, enabling faster movement between Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh and key industrial zones.

Through the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, the airport will gain direct connectivity with Haryana and Uttarakhand, while the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway, via the Ballabhgarh interchange, will connect Jewar Airport to India’s largest industrial and commercial corridor—significantly strengthening trade and logistics efficiency.

Dedicated Air Cargo Road Network

To boost logistics efficiency, the government has planned North and East Dedicated Access Roads exclusively for air cargo movement. These corridors will allow heavy freight vehicles to access the airport directly without entering urban areas, ensuring faster, safer and cost-effective cargo operations.Additionally, connectivity with the Ganga Expressway and NH-34 is being developed, further integrating eastern, central and western Uttar Pradesh with the YEIDA region.

Rail & RRTS Connectivity to National Corridors

The proposed RRTS network will link Delhi-NCR directly with YEIDA sectors and the Noida International Airport, ushering in a new era of high-speed urban mobility.Parallelly, rail connectivity is being developed for industrial units and airport operations, including direct links to the Delhi–Howrah and Delhi–Mumbai railway corridors. This expanded rail infrastructure will reduce logistics costs and provide a strong push to exports and industrial competitiveness.

Industrial & High-Tech Investment Boom

The impact of the Yogi government’s industry-friendly policies is already visible across the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Area and EMC Park.

  • In the electronics and semiconductor sector, the HCL–Foxconn group, through Vama Sundari Investments, is setting up a semiconductor testing and packaging facility.

  • Major investments by Havells India, Dixon Technologies, Aditech Semiconductors and Ascent Circuits are positioning the region as a high-tech manufacturing hub with global supply chain integration.

Auto, EV & Green Energy Growth

The automobile and electric mobility sector is witnessing rapid expansion, with key investments from Escorts Kubota, Minda Corporation and Ninjas Electric, generating large-scale employment and strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s manufacturing ecosystem.

The region is also emerging as a green energy and sustainability hub, with investments from SAEL Solar, Amber Enterprises and the Electric Vehicle Manufacturers Welfare Trust. Projects by Pine Valley Venture and Deki Electronics are further boosting the textile and electronic components sectors.

Employment & Economic Impact

The government estimates that the robust connectivity framework, modern logistics ecosystem and pro-industry environment will generate employment opportunities for lakhs of youth in the YEIDA region.

This integrated development model is expected to play a decisive role in Uttar Pradesh’s journey towards becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy, firmly establishing YEIDA as North India’s largest industrial, logistics and investment hub.
