Lucknow। Aman Sehrawat, an employee of Northern Railway, won the first Gold Medal of Asian Wrestling Championships being held at Astana, Kazakhastan. The 36th Asian Wrestling Championships of combined events is being organized from 9 to 14 April- 2023 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Aman won the Gold Medal in 57 kg weight category by defeating Kyrgyzstan's Almaz Smanbekov in the final. Aman had earlier won a bronze at the Zagreb Open in February this year. He had also won the U-23 World Championship last year. Aman's wrestling skills were spotted by the wrestling coaches of Railways and he was recruited by Northern Railway in the year 2022-23.
