Indian Premier League 2025 Mega Auction: The suspense for the Indian Premier League 2025 Mega Auction is over. The mega auction will be held on 24 and 25 November. The auction will not be held in India. All the teams will reach Jeddah city of Saudi Arabia to bid for the players. Before the mega auction, all the 10 teams had released their retention list last month. Players could register themselves for IPL 2025 till November 4.

A total of 1574 players from India and abroad have registered their names for the mega auction to be held for IPL 2025. There are 1165 Indian players in this while 409 are foreign players. In this mega auction, 320 capped players who have made their international debut will participate while 1224 uncapped players have registered themselves.

This time the auction will be big in which bids will be made for India's star players like Rishabh Pant, Lokesh Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Arshdeep Singh. Ten franchises have an amount of Rs 641.5 crore to buy 204 players. Out of these 204 places, 70 places are for foreign players. So far, 10 franchises have collectively spent Rs 558.5 crore to retain 46 players.

In the retention of IPL 2025, the Punjab Kings team retained only 2 players. This is the reason why this franchise has the biggest purse. Punjab team is coming to the auction with 110 crores. In such a situation, many big players will be the target of this franchise. Apart from this, there are a total of five teams in the auction who will be looking for their captain. In such a situation, there will be many such players in the mega auction on whom money is sure to rain.
