On a day he was left out of India’s ODI squad, Axar Patel responded in emphatic fashion, hammering a brilliant 130 off 111 balls to guide Gujarat to a seven-run win over Andhra. The allrounder struck five sixes and 10 fours, powering Gujarat to 318/9. Despite a valiant century from opener CR Gnaneshwar, Andhra fell narrowly short.
