Lucknow: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the Integral University, Lucknow organised a Quality Improvement Program titled “Pathways to Excellence: Enhancing Accreditation, Rankings, & Outcome Based Education” on 8th May 2024. 

 

The program aimed at highlighting and outlining the standards in various facets of the university including teaching, research and outreach and the role rankings and accreditation play in determining the competitiveness of educational institutions. Prof. Javed Musarrat, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Integral University, said that the program aims at aligning with innovative strategies to meet the standards of quality in terms of faculty, curriculum, infrastructure, and students support services. He added that improvement is a continuous process for redefining students’ learning, research activities and administrative process, and discussed university’s contemplation for QSI-Guage ranking and sought guidance of the guests.  He insisted that happiness as a metrics should be used to measure students’ learning. In his address, he said that Integral University aims to establish a benchmark of quality education and learning for other institutions in the region. 

Lucknow: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the Integral University, Lucknow organised a Quality Improvement Program titled “Pathways to Excellence: Enhancing Accreditation, Rankings, & Outcome Based Education” on 8th May 2024. 

The program began with the presentation of bouquets to the dignitaries and the screening of the university Tarana.  Prof. Syed Misbahul Hasan, Director, IQAC, welcomed the guests and the participants and presented a brief introduction of the IQAC and the Quality Improvement Program. He stated that participants from approximately twenty-five institutions from across Lucknow, have joined the session and ten others have joined online. Prof. Mohammad Haris Siddiqui, Registrar appreciated the organizers and gave a brief report on the genesis of the university. While emphasizing the process of accreditation, Prof. Naimur Rahman Kidwai, Deputy Director, IQAC, said that it is a comprehensive process which ensures educational institutions meet predetermined standards of quality and gives assurance to stakeholders in making wise decision.

Mr. Ravin Nair, Chief Operating Officer, QSI-Guage, another resource person of the program, spoke about the difference in accreditation, ratings and rankings of an educational institution. He said that accreditation and rating are required to embrace assessment and to understand strength and weaknesses of institution. and ranking demands quality of research, diversity and internationalization. Aligarh, and the resource person of the program, said that accreditation reflects minimal standards attained by any institution and focused on the methodologies to reach excellence. In the second session he mentioned the role of Industry 4.0 in alignment with industries, experiential learning and data-driven decision-making in outcome-based education, and also talked about the role of National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in promoting the quality of technical education. He explained that NBA assists in promoting new and innovative methods and provides guidance in educational program through outcome-based education.
